Julie Jones
Founder and CEO
Julie Jones is a distinguished leader in the field of open-source intelligence, serving as the founder and CEO of The Canadian Centre for Open-Source Intelligence. A former police detective with nearly 30 years of experience in investigations and cybercrime, Julie expertly navigates the complexities of modern threats.
Her expertise spans critical issues, including human trafficking, online exploitation, and digital security. Julie is passionate about leveraging open-source intelligence to empower organizations and individuals in safeguarding against cyber threats. As a sought-after consultant and trainer, she has delivered innovative programs globally, equipping law enforcement agencies, government bodies, NGOs, and corporations with the skills necessary to combat emerging challenges.
In recognition of her exceptional service and contributions, Julie was honored with the Hal Lipset Truth in Action Award by the World Association of Detectives in 2023. This award celebrates individuals who exhibit the highest standards of conduct and service through their specific deeds and accomplishments.
A recognized thought leader, Julie continues to contribute to the field through her writings and speaking engagements, solidifying her reputation as an authority on digital investigations and intelligence.
Ritu Gill

Ritu Gill
With over 17 years of experience in the world of intelligence, Ritu Gill has become a seasoned expert in Canadian law enforcement, spending 12 of those years with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). Her work with the RCMP saw her diving deep into open source intelligence, working investigations that made headlines.
Ritu’s expertise didn’t stop at the Canadian border—she also played a crucial role in the RCMP's international capacity-building program, where she trained law enforcement teams in Bangladesh and India to harness the power of the internet for investigative purposes.
In 2016, Ritu launched a consulting business that offers cutting-edge OSINT training and research to law enforcement agencies across North America. She is also the co-founder of Forensic OSINT, a tool built to secure online evidence to the highest standards.
Armed with a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Ritu is an active force in the OSINT community, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in online investigations.

Julianna Mitchell is an accomplished expert in open-source intelligence (OSINT) investigations, with a strong educational background that includes an MA in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. Known for her sharp analytical mind and exceptional writing skills, Julianna excels at transforming vast amounts of publicly available data into actionable insights. Her professional background includes roles in government, where she contributed to critical public safety initiatives, as well as in the private sector, where she developed and managed intelligence-informed security programs for a diverse range of companies. Additionally, she has extensive experience conducting intelligence operations for large-scale events, further solidifying her as an invaluable asset in security risk management.
When not conducting investigations, you can find her buried in a fantasy novel, traveling, or being bossed around by her mini dachshund.

Director of Intelligence and Investigations (ATII)
Matt Richardson is the Director of Intelligence and Investigations with the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII). He is an international speaker and subject matter expert on “Open Source Intelligence” (OSINT) and Darkweb Intelligence with extensive experience in leading and coordinating complex investigations on sex trafficking and CSE offenders in conjunction with Law Enforcement and Government agencies across the world. Matt co-authored a study titled “Expert Analysis of Open Source Material Relating To Child Sexual Abuse Material And Sex Trafficking Occurring On OnlyFans.com” with the University of New Haven’s Center for Forensic Investigations of Trafficking in Persons. He is often sought out as a subject matter expert by the media with TV, Film, Radio, with international media coverage in Canada. He is a writing contributor and on camera character for “Dark Highway”, a Human Trafficking documentary that is being televised in Canada and the U.S and has been featured on CBC’s award winning investigative show “The Fifth Estate” and NBC news. He works in partnership with Timea’s Cause to educate and prevent sex trafficking and was a featured speaker of the 1st Canadian National Summit on Child Sexual Exploitation. Matt is passionate in his role with the ATII where as part of a team of experts he uses his skills on a daily basis to help make children, families, and communities safer places.

Larry has 20+ years experience in the technology industry. He is the Chief Information Security Officer at the Anti-Human Trafficking Intelligence Initiative (ATII) and an OSINT Investigator for the National Child Protection Task Force (NCPTF). He is a certified Digital Evidence Investigator (DEI), Mobile Device Investigator (MDI), Triage Investigator (TINV), Certified Cryptocurrency Investigator (CCI), CipherTrace Certified Examiner (CTCE) and holds over 50 other Industry, IT & Security certifications. He manages technology in multiple disciplines and works with local, state, federal and international Law Enforcement on Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation investigations.
